Fallen Tree on Jalan Pemuda Completely Removed

The evacuation process of the fallen tree on Jalan Pemuda RT 07/02, Rawamangun Urban Village, Pulo Gadung District, East Jakarta was completed by joint personnel.

Head of the Green Belt and Cemetery Section of the East Jakarta City Parks and Forestry Sub-agency, Made Widhi Adnyana Surya Pratita, said that the fallen tree was a flamboyant tree with a diameter of around 200 centimeters.

"This tree fell yesterday at around 7:10 AM. However, due to its size, the evacuation process was only completed today," he said, Friday (5/8).

Made explained that the fallen tree hit a coffee shop belonging to Abu Bakar (62) and an electricity cable belonging to PT PLN.

"We deployed 10 Green Troop personnel with supporting equipment, as well as one ladder truck and one dump truck," he added.

Meanwhile, Head of Rawamangun Urban Village, Heri Kurniawan said 13 PPSU officers were deployed to assist with the evacuation process. Assistance also came from five personnel from the Gulkarmat Sub-agency, three Satpol PP personnel, and two members of the FKDM (Family Forum for the Disaster Management).

"There were no fatalities or injuries when the tree fell yesterday. However, a coffee shop and a power line were hit by the tree," he admitted.
